Reduced models of cutout sculptures
Digital prints mounted on rigid cutouts. Maximum height 5’50

In my newest work,”cutout sculptures,” digital images are mounted on rigid geometrical shapes combined so as to stand upright.  The images are the result of a long process.  Starting from photographic close-ups of skin, I assemble them into “skin fabric” which I then digitally warp and mold into sculptural looking skin objects. No matter how abstract the final shapes are, the skin texture of the printed image, though hardly recognizable, is a reminder that f every human activity and thought is a manifestation of the body.

These are reduced models of the final piece which could stand 5′ to 6′ tall.
